Euroleague 2014/2015 will start tomorrow, Tuesday 23 September, with the first two games of the Qualifying Round. Here you find my preview for all 4 games of the quarter finals. All games are played in Ostend, Belgium.

Vef Riga vs Strasbourg
The first two teams are Riga and Strasbourg. The Latvian team hopes to advance to its first ever Euroleague regular season through its third qualifying rounds appearance in the past four seasons. However VEF is yet to win a game at the event. Strasbourg seems to be stronger than Riga, but I want to trust Latvian basket. My tip: Vef Riga.

Ostend vs Asvel Lyon
Last season Ostend almost got their place in Euroleague regular season, but the lost the final match of the 2013/2014 Qualifiyng Round. Can they this season, playing at home, secure a win? I don’t know, anyway, I am confident the Belgian team can destroy Lyon Tuesday night. It could be the first step to the target. My tip: Ostend.

Hapoel Jerusalem vs Nymburk
A new era is starting for Hapoel Jerusalem. The club want to bring Euroleague games into the new Jerusalem Arena. I hope they can get this target. Something about Nymburk? It’s a dynamic team, they usually dominates the Czech League, but, in my opinion, they are not ready for the Euroleague games. I see an Israeli win here. My tip: Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Unics Kazan vs Zielona Gora
It seems there is no hope for Zielona Gora. Last season I saw the Polish team playing in Florence against Montepaschi Siena and I liked their basket. Anyway I have to admit I usually don’t follow the Polish League, so here I just follow what the expert say and they say Unics Kazan is stringer than Zielona. We are talking about basket, a sport strongly linked with Russia. My Tip: Kazan.
