What’s going on in LKL

It’s Friday afternoon, it’s the right moment for checking what’s going on in the Lithuanian top league, the LKL.

Just few lines to remeber you the format. During the regular season, all teams will play 36 games. The top eight teams in the after playing the whole 36 games each one will join the playoffs in the quarterfinals, that will be played in a best-of-three games format. The semifinals were also played in this format. The final round will be played between the two winners of the semifinals. The final series for the first place were played in a best-of-seven format, while the series for the third place were played in a best-of-five format. (source: wikipedia)

After 34 rounds Zalgiris Kaunas is sure to get the 1st place and regular season seems not to have much to tell with everyone waiting for the post season. Anyway some interesting games are scheduled in the last 2 rounds. On Saturday, April 22 Zalgirs will host Lietuvos Rytas and on Wednesday, April 26 the Sarunas Jasikevicious‘s band will host Juventus.
