What’s the Zig-Zag Theory?

If you are an NBA lover, probably you already know the Zig-Zag Theory, something can be useful also in the Old Europe.

In order to explain this topic I take some information from superb websites, surely more serious and nice than our cigarafterten.

Let’s start with oddshark.com It is named the Zig-Zag Theory for its propensity of momentum shifting between the home and road teams based on how each performed in the previous game. The idea is that each game in a playoff series is affected by the result of the game that preceded it.

A lot websites have interesting articles about this topic. We suggest to read bodybets.com and minyaville.com. Anyway waht is interesting now for us is what we can ready in the oddshark.com article: if the road team wins Game 1, typically in an upset as an underdog, the home favorite is a very strong bet to rebound, historically winning around 75% of the time in that scenario.

The point is that this theory is good for NBA, but is it good for Euroleague too? We think so, even if we don’t have enough stats about Euroleague playoffs.
