Four games scheduled for today, Thursday, January 5, and four games for tomorrow, Friday, January 6. The new year of Euroleague starts with eight interesting battles. Let’s focus on what’s going on today.

18:30 Efes – Galatasaray
20:00 Brose – Barcelona
20:05 Maccabi – Darussafaka
21:00 Baskonia – Unics Kazan

Efes vs Galatasaray: a Turkish derby in these days so sad for the Turkish people. Both Efes (7-8) and Galatasaray (4-11) are now out of the playoff zone, but Valimir Perasovic and his boys have some chances to play the post season. No hope for Gala, in my opinion. Bookmakers offers low odds for an Efes win. Avoid.

Brose vs Barcelona: the German team (6-9) has been unlucky in some games, but they always played a good basketball. The Catalan team (7-8) starts to be a question point for everyone. By the way, Barcelona has bad results away in this season. Avoid.

Maccabi vs Darussafaka: my heart says Maccabi, my mind says Darussafaka. My bank account suggest me to be careful. You should do the same. Avoid.

Baskonia vs Unics Kazan: this the match to watch! This game befeficts from not having the weight of a do or die battle. This is just a match between a good team, Baskonia with a 10-5 record, and another good team, but with less top class players, Kazan with a 6-9 record. For both team to win or not to win this game is not so important. This is not a key match. For this reason we could see good basketball tonight. Just basketball without stress. My betting tip? Back the Russians! Kazan (+7.5) @ 1.89 stake 4/10.

 CSKA Moscow 12-3
Real Madrid 10-5
Olympiacos 10-5
Baskonia 10-5
Fenerbahce 9-6
Panathinaikos 9-6

Barcelona 7-8
Zalgiris 6-9
Unics Kazan 6-9
Brose 6-9
