10 APR 2013: Real Madrid vs Maccabi

It’s 8.48 AM in Italy, no chance to see NBA odds published by my bookmaker, so let’s look at the Euroleague playoff. These are the games scheduled for today (09 APR 2013) and tomorrow (10 APR 2013):

Barcelona – Panathinaikos
CSKA Moscow – Caja Laboral
Olympiacos – Efes
Real Madrid – Maccabi Tel Aviv

As I am used to do (I don’t know why), I choose the last match. So, let’s go to the Palacio de Deportes Comunidad de Madrid to enjoy the Euroleague quartefinals game 1.

EUROLEAGUE
Quartefinals – Game 1
Wednesday, April 10 2013 – 20:45 CET
(CET is Central Europe Time)

REAL MADRID – MACCABI TEL AVIV
Palacio de Deportes Comunidad de Madrid, Madrid, Spain

Real Madrid (0-0) had good resulst in Regular Season (7-3) and in Top 16 (10-4). By the way, forward Nikola Mirotic has been voted Top 16 week 10 bwin MVP, as we can read in the Euroleague news.

Real Madrid starting five: G 5 Rudy Fernandez, G 23 Sergio Llull, F 8 Carlos Suarez, F 12 Nikola Mirotic, F 16 Mirza Begic. HC Pablo Laso.

Maccabi Tel Aviv (0-0) also secured happy days in Europe with a 8-2 record in the Regular Season and 8-2 in the Top 16. The main problem of Maccabi is that the yellow shirts of Maccabi are used to win at home, but they are not so strong away. Anyway, let’s forget Regular Season and Top 16 games and let’s focus on the Quarterfinals games. The two teams start with 0-0. This is the reason why I bet only stake 6 and not 10, as it should be. In my opinion 6 is the right stake for game 1. Obviously, stake 6 on Real Madrid win.

Maccabi Tel Aviv starting five: G 5 James Shawn, G 6 Davin Smith, G 12 Ogev Ohayon, G 8 Ricky Hickman, F 11 Nik Caner-Medley.  HC David Blatt.

My bookmaker odds
Real Madrid 1.33
Maccabi 3.15
Real Madrid (-6.5) 1.87
Maccabi (+6.5) 1.87

My bet
Real Madrid @ 1.33
stake 6
